New Chamber Website In Development
The Willow Creek Chamber Of Commerce Board signed a contract with local resident and Chamber member, Daniel Seguin, Information Technology Consultant, to provide a new website for its members and the community. The site will target vacationers, those relocating, fisherman, hunters, and people interested in river sports. Requirements outlined in the contract include having thirteen top-level menu Items - a home page with announcements, a welcome message, a short list of upcoming events, a member login feature, a mini-map; a membership list with links to member sites; an about the Chamber section with information on becoming a member, information on the staff/board, downloadable Chamber forms; a business and community services links page; an announcements page; a calendar of events; the fishing report; a big map of the area; a section on visiting Willow Creek; a section on relocating to Willow Creek; information on Bigfoot; search functionality, a contact us page; 39 pages of content; clean organizational structure; intuitive site navigation; and page-level site statistics (hit and visitor counters). The work to provide this functionality is underway with an anticipated cut-over date to the new site framework around the first of next year. Some of the functionality will be implemented during the first weeks of January, with the site being ideally completed and signed-off by end of January 2009. Molly O'Gorman has graciously accepted the role of project champion, and will be the point of contact between The Board and the developer, Daniel Seguin. As members, input about your business will be solicited (as needed) as development reaches its next stages. An email address will also be provided to allow for input and necessary changes to the site post-launch.
